DESCRIPTION
The Ultra Vest 6.0 brings the modern UD vest platform into its sixth iteration. Comfort Cinch™ 3.0 uses High Molecular Weight Polyethylene cord through an air-mesh panel to dial in tension across the small of your back without pressing on your lats or restricting your breathing on the climbs. Two Body Bottle III 500ml flasks ride up front, a water-resistant zippered phone pocket sits on the chest, and a waterproof clamshell-opening rear compartment swallows up to a 2L reservoir along with food, layers and a shell. Vest shaping wraps fully around the torso, and the air-mesh body keeps the next-to-skin feel cool over long, sweaty efforts.
If you're racing anything from a 50k to a 100-miler, training through long back-to-back weekends in the Drakensberg, or planning a Karoo overnighter where you want one vest to do everything, the Ultra Vest 6.0 is built for you. There's enough room for a shell and a full kit list, four bungee loops and hooks for front or rear trekking pole carry, and the durability to last several seasons of Ultra-trail Cape Town efforts. For shorter racing, look at the Race Vest 6.0; for bigger mountain days, step up to the Mountain Vest 6.0 or Ultra Vest 12.
