DESCRIPTION
The Ultra Vest 5.0 is the vest that started the modern hydration-vest category, dialled in. The Comfort Cinch™ 2.0 cord system pulls the pack snug across the small of your back so the load disappears once you start running, the shoulder straps are shaped to spread weight without digging into your collarbones, and a four-way stretch nylon-elastane shell with a ripstop pattern keeps things light without giving up durability. Two HydraPak Body Bottle™ II 500ml flasks sit up front in stretch mesh pockets that double as phone stashes, two rear zippered pockets keep your gels and shell secure, and a small weather-resistant shoulder pocket handles the chapstick-and-salt-tab essentials.
If you're training for your first Ultra-trail Cape Town, putting in long back-to-back weekends in the Drakensberg, or running unaided efforts up to 50km, this is your vest. There's enough room for a shell, food, and the kit list for most marked SA trail races, plus a 2L reservoir option (sold separately) for the hot months when two flasks aren't enough.
